About Address Lookup
Look up road-name address, lot-number (jibun) address, English address, and postal code in a single search. Results come in real time from the official Korean government address database (juso.go.kr), so they are accurate and up to date. Spacing-tolerant search finds the same address regardless of spacing, and building names (e.g. COEX) also work. Tap any result card to copy the full address — no text selection needed.
How to Use
① Type a road-name address, lot-number address, or building name. Spacing doesn't matter. ② Check the road-name, jibun, English address, and postal code on the result card. ③ Tap the item you need to copy just that value. ④ Shopping overseas? Choose the Amazon, eBay, or AliExpress tab on the English address — fields are split to match each store's checkout form (Address Line 1/2, City, Postal Code). ⑤ Add unit details in Korean (e.g. 101동 202호) and they are auto-converted to English ('Unit 101-202').
When to Use
• Filling in shipping addresses on Amazon, eBay, or AliExpress with store-specific field layouts • Cross-checking jibun-based documents (property registers) against road-name addresses • Finding postal codes before sending mail or parcels • Writing accurate road-name addresses on moving/registration paperwork • English addresses for international mail and visa documents
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. What is the difference between road address and land-lot address?
- A. A road address uses the street name and building number (e.g., Teheran-ro 152), while a land-lot address uses the traditional land parcel number (e.g., Yeoksam-dong 737). y2x lets you look up both at the same time.
- Q. Is the English address conversion accurate?
- A. Conversions are based on the official Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) address database and generated using the official romanization rules. Suitable for international shipping, passport applications, and more.
- Q. Can I search by building name?
- A. Yes, you can search by building name (e.g., Gangnam-gu Office, COEX). Road names, land-lot numbers, and building names are all accepted in the search box.
- Q. How do I add unit or floor details?
- A. After searching for an address, click the 'Add Unit / Floor' button on the result card to reveal an input field. The detail you enter will be automatically reflected in the English address.
- Q. Is there a search limit?
- A. You can search as many times as you like, for free. No login required.
- Q. Will it find addresses even if my spacing is wrong?
- A. Yes. Searches are spacing-tolerant — 'Teheran-ro26-gil' and 'Teheran-ro 26-gil' return the same results. Just type it the way you remember it.
- Q. Can I use it for Amazon or AliExpress shipping addresses?
- A. Yes. On the English address card, choose the Amazon, eBay, or AliExpress tab to see fields split exactly like each store's checkout form (Address Line 1/2, City, Postal Code), and tap each field to copy it. Unit/apartment details are auto-converted to English.
- Q. Is the address I enter stored?
- A. No search history is stored beyond the lookup request itself.
