Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective: May 22, 2026
1. Overview
y-to-x ("Service") values your privacy. This policy explains what information the Service collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
The Service does not require account registration and, as a principle, does not directly collect or store personal information.
2. Information We Collect
① Automatic Collection (Google Tag Manager / Analytics)
The Service automatically collects the following information via Google Tag Manager (GTM):
- Page visit records (URL, time on page)
- Browser type and operating system
- Country / region (IP-based; IP address itself is not stored)
- Traffic source (search terms, referring URL)
This data is stored on Google's servers and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
② Advertising Information (Google AdSense)
The Service serves ads via Google AdSense. Google may collect the following for ad delivery purposes:
- User identifiers via cookies and similar technologies
- Ad impression and click records
- Interest-based ad profile (when personalised ads are enabled)
Rewarded Ad viewing completion records from the text-extraction feature are used solely to confirm ad views and are not used to identify individuals.
③ Text Extraction Usage Logs
When using the text extraction feature, the entered URL and request timestamp are stored in the Service database (Supabase). This data is used only for abuse prevention and service operation, and is not used to identify or single out individual users.
④ What We Do Not Collect
- Image files: Image conversion, GIF creation, and background removal are all processed in your browser. Images are never sent to our servers.
- Address queries: Address search queries are sent directly to the official Ministry of the Interior and Safety API server and are not stored on y-to-x servers.
- Exchange rate queries: Exchange rate data is received from public APIs; user input values (amounts, etc.) are not transmitted to our servers.
- Unit conversion / Markdown: Processed entirely in the browser with no server communication.
3. Cookies
The Service does not set its own cookies. However, the following third-party services may set cookies:
- Google Analytics: visit analysis cookies (_ga, _gid, etc.)
- Google AdSense: ad personalisation and frequency-control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking cookies may limit some functionality.
